The owner of the IRBS is a wealthy man from Florida. This is probably why the narrow gauge track looks like like it would fit in a standard gauge railroad! The track work is very manicured and uses lots of ties. But the owner is a "very hands of owner." That leaves the decisions to be made by the rail manager. The rail manager is very cheap. He buys most of the rolling stock and locomotives second hand and when he buys brand new equipment, he only purchases low price things. He sometimes he even buys gently used locomotives and cars from Europe because he can get a good deal!

Reality:
The track looks like standard gauge track because it is Aristocraft track with code 332 rail.
I would be the rail manager-I'm cheap, but I do buy stuff new-only sometimes used...
